採る前に：碑や石仏の所有者に採拓の許可を得る。また汚したり、傷つけない。周りの環境にも気を配る。オネガイシマス １．紙（画仙紙）を碑面に張り付ける前に碑面を良く掃除する。但し所有者が苦心してつけた苔もあるから注意すること。碑面に直接墨を塗って紙を押し当てる等は以ての外。ダメダメ Preparation : You should obtain permission from the owner of the monument or stone image. You must not scar or soil the object. You should be sensitive to the surrounding environment. 1.Clean the stone face carefully. You must not apply ink directly to the stone face. この碑は、万葉歌碑（千葉県市川市手児奈霊堂） |

２．碑面に紙をビニールテープでとめる。次ぎに霧吹きで水を吹きかけながら柔らかい刷毛（水刷毛）で張り付けてゆく。まず中央から始め、順次上に上がり、次に下へと真ん中から外側四方へ紙を伸ばしながら貼って行く。スウーット 2.Stick the four corners of the paper to the stone face using soft electrical tape (not sellotape). Spray the paper with a mist of water, and using a soft water brush, tamp down the paper. Start in the center and work out, stretching and fitting the paper to the image. |

３．水貼りを終えると、乾いたタオルで中央から外側へと押さえてゆく。こうすると碑面に彫った文字等のくぼみに紙がめり込むと共に、水分をとり、硬く密着させることが出来る。タオルは小さくたたんで碑面に直角に当てよう。キチキチ 3.After you have finished attaching the paper, use a towel to pat away the excess water. Fold up or wad up the towel to soak up the water. The paper should be damp. (Ink doesn't stay on wet paper.) Check the paper is fitted to all the uneven surfaces of the image. |

４．紙が生乾きになったらタンポに墨をつけ、もう一つのタンポで擦り合わせ、充分に墨をならして、紙面に直角に、最初は軽く、だん だん強く打ち込んでゆく。ポンポン 4.You must not let the paper dry completely. Next, lightly tap the surface of one Tampo to the Takuhon ink and then tap the two Tampo together to transfer the ink. Tap the Tampo (don't rub) on the paper. At first, tap gently, then tap hard. |

５．むらなく墨を打ち込んだら、四方のテープを剥がし、次ぎに紙を破らないように注意深く剥がしていく。新聞紙等で包んで終わり。 最後に碑や周りを掃除し、所有者に礼をすることも大切な心掛け。アリガトウゴザイマシタ （夏秋） 5.After you have finished tapping on the ink, peel off the tape carefully, to avoid tearing the paper. Place flat on newspaper and cover with newspaper. Don't worry about creases or folds, Japanese paper quickly recovers. Next clean the stone and express your gratitude to the owner. 万葉歌碑「葛飾の真間の井見れば立ち平し 水汲ましけむ 手児奈い思ほゆ」 高橋虫麻呂歌 （巻九 一八〇八） 東才子書 手児奈は奈良時代の絶世の美女、あまり多くの男から求愛されて、ここより身を投げた。 |
